How to keep your Axel bed looking its best. The short version: Covers, Travel Mats, Crate Mats And Voyager Bags all in the machine at 30°C, inner cushions spot-clean only, air dry everything.

Washing instructions
All Axel covers, mats and bags are fully machine washable at 30°C.
Unzip and remove the cover from the base before washing.
Fasten all zips and closures before washing to prevent fabric snagging.
Inner cushions: spot clean only with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not machine wash.
Ensure items are thoroughly dry before reuse to prevent odours or mildew.
How often to wash
Wash every one to two weeks to keep things fresh.
For more active or muddy dogs, weekly washing is recommended.
Between washes, remove fur and debris with a vacuum or lint brush to minimise build-up and extend the time between full washes.
Memory foam filling
The inner cover is water-resistant to protect the foam — do not submerge it or the foam in water, as this degrades the foam and promotes mould growth. If the base gets very wet, leave it to air dry in a well-ventilated spot, shaking it out regularly until fully dry.
Spot clean the inner cover by gently dabbing stains with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Avoid rubbing or soaking.
We also recommend an occasional spray with an antibacterial freshener to keep things fresh between washes.
Regularly vacuum the inner cover with a soft brush attachment to remove hair, dust and debris.
Replace the memory foam insert if you notice sagging, permanent indentations or persistent odours.
General tips
Avoid bleach or harsh cleaners — use gentle detergents to protect fabrics and colours.
